Description:Highlight: This is the model of Lotus Renault 94T F1 which raced in European GP in 1983 by Nigel Mansell. The colour scheme of team Lotus is simple black and the main sponsor of JPS. This model is built from the full white metal Tameo kit; they are built with the aim of offering the best possible reproduction of the real racing cars. The body and some parts are covered with high gloss clear coat with the decal placed on top of the clear coat. The wings and some other parts are welded together to enhance the rigidity. All the swing arms are covered with semi gloss paint to highlight the realistic from a real car. The model is mounted on high quality acrylic display case with descriptions on the base.Story: Team Lotus was the motorsport sister company of English sports car manufacturer Lotus Cars. The team ran cars in many motorsport series including Formula One, Formula Two, Formula Ford, Formula Junior, IndyCar and sports car racing. More than ten years after its last race Team Lotus remains one of the most successful racing teams of all time, winning seven Formula One Constructors’ titles, six Drivers’ Championships, and the Indianapolis 500 in the United States, between 1962 and 1978. Under the direction of founder and Chief Designer Colin Chapman Lotus was responsible for many innovative and experimental developments in critical motorsport, in both technical and commercial arenas.After Chapman’s death due to heart attack the racing team was taken over by Peter Warr but a series of F1 designs proved unsuccessful. Midway through 1983 Lotus hired French designer Gérard Ducarouge and, in five weeks, he built the Renault turbo powered 94T. The Team finished in 3rd place in the Constructors’ Championship.
